Cycling the Dream to New Brighton Pier.

This is a scenic route from Cycling the Dream, around the McLeans Forest park trail, out Templars Island Trail to the Northern corrodor. Into the City and on to the Avon Trail to the New Brighton Pier. Mostly flat riding with very little road riding. Plenty to see and do to make this a big day out.
ROUTE 1 10km loop incorperating gorden reid, sophora and half coringa loop
ROUTE 2 Full 15lm loop including river loop
ROUTE 3 Awesome ride to the river on a hot day for a swim/paddle
ROUTE 4 Gorden Reid Trail Loop. Under 3km. Great for kids.
ROUTE 5 First Block of trees 2.5km smooth berms. great for kids
Route 6 This is how to get to McLeans Forest Park. This requires some road riding which can be busy in the early morning or evening. The 9.8km starts from the Harewood BP station.
Route 7 This is a great track up the port hills. It is suitable for experienced single track riders. J Line is very rocky and technical and a good example of single track in Christchurch
Route 8 When it heats up there is nothing better than a dip in the river. From Cycling The Dream it is a mere 6km to swimming spots in the river. Watch out for the deep ones. This one was over six feet deep! The Strava route is riding back into Christchurch. I'll try to do another that stays in the park.
